ASTra is an educational advocacy workshop surrounding the needs of students who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH). Participants will learn about special considerations for students who are DHH, including Special Education Laws, eligibility for services, placement options, IEP's, assessments, evaluations and Parent's rights. ASTra training focuses on the collaboration between families and professionals to foster a unified approach towards educational planning for deaf and hard of hearing students.
