Executive Director
Ever since Julie’s son was diagnosed as D/HH and an IN H&V Parent Guide provided her family support, Julie has known that she wished to support other families of D/HH children. Julie is also a software engineer, and is bringing her tech knowledge to the Executive Director position.
ASTra and GBYS Program Coordinator
Mariana was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. She is the mother of two children, her youngest was born profoundly deaf. She serves as the Guide By Your Side Program Coordinator and the ASTra Program Coordinator in Indiana. Her biggest passion is to ensure that every child with hearing loss in Indiana has access to and receives qualified services to meet their needs and achieve successful outcomes. She has a deep passion for supporting families through the different stages of the educational process that often require the parents to become skilled advocates.

Sarah is the mother of two young boys. Her youngest was born profoundly deaf. Sarah has a Public Health degree from Indiana University. She enjoys reading, trying new recipes with her husband, music, and exercising.

Blanca es originaria de Mexico, madre de una niña con síndrome Wolf-Hirschhorn (4p-) siendo uno de los diagnósticos medicos la sordera moderada a severa en ambos oídos. Deseosa de apoyar a las familias que están atravesando por situaciones similares y brindar un mensaje de esperanza, ya que este es solo el comienzo de una maravillosa aventura. Cada mínimo esfuerzo vale mucho la pena cuando se trata de hacer que nuestros hijos desarrollen su potencial al máximo. Blanca actualmente disfruta trabajar como asistente de educación especial.
Blanca is originally from Mexico, mother to a child with Wolf-Hirschhorn (4p-) Syndrome, being moderate-severe bilateral hearing loss one of the conditions that come with it. Blanca is always very willing to support the families that are going through similar situations and hopes to share a message of hope, as this journey is full of adventures. Every small effort invested in our children is very much worth it to help them reach their greatest potential. Blanca enjoys working as a Special Education Assistant in the public setting.

Jenny is the mother of 2 children, 1 of which was born with a hearing loss. She has been a Parent Guide since 2010. She and her family love traveling, playing board games & camping.

Jana is a wife and mother of three. Her middle child was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at age 5 and their family has been navigating the journey with hearing aids and cochlear implants ever since. She hopes to support other families of D/HH kiddos along the way. Jana also teaches fitness classes and enjoys reading, volunteering, and spending time outside with her family.
Courtney is a mother of three, the youngest of whom was diagnosed at birth with hearing loss from microtia and atresia. Courtney has a law degree from the University of Notre Dame. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and reading.
Amanda is the mother of 4 young children. Her oldest son and third son were born profoundly deaf. She is excited to be working with families through the Guide by Your Side Program to provide resources and activities to best support their D/HH children. Amanda is an elementary teacher by profession, but she is currently enjoying her time at home spent with family. She enjoys crafting, decorating, home remodels, and spending time with family and friends!
ASTra Advocates
Taylor is the mother of one young boy who is autistic and has unilateral hearing loss. When they aren't at pediatric therapy appointments, her family can be found taking walks or riding bikes around their neighborhood, visiting the Children's Museum or Zoo, or jumping for hours at Urban Air. Outside of being a mom and wife, Taylor is a special education teacher and working on her master's in special education leadership and practice. She has taught self-contained high school, elementary resource, and high school resource. Taylor has been the TOS for DHH students who have used hearing aids and BAHAs to access sound.

Dana is a mom of twin boys, one of whom was diagnosed with profound bilateral hearing loss at birth. She is involved with IN Hands & Voices as the Chair of the Fundraising Committee and as an ASTra advocate. Dana volunteers in her free time to help raise awareness and support for families of children with hearing loss.
